Today is Saturday and I don’t need to work :D

May 26, 2007

Ok, firstly, I didn’t get to go for the Missing in Action Trail cause it was all full up.

Ok, secondly, I registered for the Runway Cycling but we had to rent bikes anyway cause I couldn’t arrange any transport.

Ok thirdly, the motorbike is expected to mysteriously appear next Saturday.

Ok, fourthly, some of my colleagues hate somebody, but it’s a wrong long story and it wouldn’t do anyone much good if it appeared here.

Yesterday we couldn’t work on our projects all morning cause the server was down and we needed to access the database. Imagine our surprise when we realised that the server was down cause nobody had turned it on and nobody had turned it on because none of us knew that the server was in our lab. =_=””

Been screwing around with Java3D and databases at the working place, and expected to convert the application into an applet and maybe pick up JSP (Java server pages) once I finish with the Java3D and the databases and the screwing around. Ok, technically I sort of know a bit of the applet part already… but the JSP part is making me a bit like O_o… never mind, think I’ll cross that hurdle when I come to it.

The project’s looking good so far, but it’s a little behind schedule.

And I have been hungry for Korean kueh (Singlish slang for ‘cakes’) for the whole week and I think I’m going to get some soon.

SAFRA Runway Cycling 2007

May 19, 2007

Oh I forgot to throw this in the last post.

I’m also taking part in the SAFRA runway cycling 2007! (Did anyone see me in the picture? Cause I was there last year too… :D)

We’re probably signing up for the Leisure route (15km) like we did last year (but at the end I still joined and completed the Endurance route 😀 just that no certificate to collect)
Probably not going to try this time round cause now I have a weak knee and besides, I used to ride everyday and now…)

Both cycling and blading are allowed so no worries for those who don’t like bicycles.

Anyone also want to come along sms me then we can group register!
It’s free but bike rental costs $18.90. (If you have your own bike, I’m trying to arrange some transportation or something but don’t bet your ass on it)

Life update blog

May 19, 2007

Ever since I started working, Saturday has become my unofficial sleeping day. I just sleep for the whole day and then I find that when I wake up (usually in the evening), I missed something important.

Such as Dragonforce coming to Singapore. *aaaaaaarrrgggh*
Fast guitar, nice hair, fast guitar, nice hair etc.

It’s tomorrow at Downtown east so anyone with money to spare can go and pay $65 per person (me + sister == S$130 already, and still have to support motorcycle and haven’t even got salary yet nabeh)

I then turned my attention to events directed towards the more financially-challenged.
Such as the (free) Missing in Action Trail, which is a night tour of3 museums and a hike in Kent Ridge Park. More RMBR photos ahahahah.

Not sure why I can’t find anything on it on the Internet so I can’t provide a link but anyway it was advertised in the Straits Times Life! section on May 18, 2007.
I just registered for 3 participants, hope it’ll get through.

Anyway, the motorcycle… I still haven’t collected it yet.
Waiting for next COE bidding… and hopefully they’ll get me a COE cert that’s not too pricey.

And damn it… I forgot to bring my bicycle (the red ‘market’ one) to the shop to get a replacement for the brake cable cause I was too busy sleeping!
And my sis is having friends over to ride bike tomorrow and she needs to borrow my bike… how?

A much-needed update

May 12, 2007

Ok, I admit I haven’t been blogging much recently. But try blogging if you return home every day with a computer-induced headache and tired eyes.

Obviously, a lot has happened since my last post.

Ok, firstly, I bought a motorcycle last Saturday.
There aren’t any photos of it here cause I haven’t collected it yet.
Supposed to collect it today but the dealer failed to get me a COE (certificate of entitlement). And with the COE price so high, no way am I going to buy it from someone else and pay extra. So I’ll have to wait for the next round of bidding 2 weeks later.

For anyone who’s interested, it’s a black Yamaha RXZ (under Commuting vehicles). First-hand, about 6.5k++ OTR (on the road). Insurance alone was already 1.2k (Mitsui 2nd-party, new bike, new+young rider) O_o.
When the bike comes, it’ll probably have his own page on this blog or something.
Of course, I had to go update my wishlist.

For those who prefer cycling, I’m also going for the SAFRA runway cycling event in June.
Anyone able to provide transportation for 3 bicycles?

Work.

May 1, 2007

Ok, finally we got some work to do.

I’m not sure if I can blog about it here, but anyway, we have a lot of freedom with whatever technologies we want to use. 🙂

I’m thinking of using VRML, Java applets and/or Javascript.
